Tonight I took 20 images of 6 minutes each of the Heart Nebula IC 1805 using a 71 mm WilliamOptics ED refractor, a modded Canon EOS 700D camera and an Astronomik L-3 Luminance filter (to get rid of blue halos around stars) mounted on a belt modded SkyWatcher HEQ5-Pro. Of course all imaging (polar alignment, slewing, guiding, imaging) was done using Ekos. Stacking was done using AstroPixelProcessor, post-processing with PixInsight (PhotometricColorCalibration, MultiscaleLinearTransform to reduce color noise, MorpholocigalTransformation to reduce star sizes and finally HistogramTransformation and CurvesTransformation to make the background darker and boost the colours).
Clear skies, Wouter
