Thanks for sharing Jim, It is on bright stars. I hope no one thought I was hating on the 1600, its an amazing camera, its just that issue for some reasons irks me. Its totally a personal opinion though, ASI 1600 is a superb camera!

The QSY294 shows "2" cameras into one while there is no mention of this on the ZWO294 version
They both use the same sensor "Sony IMX492 CMOS Sensor"

QHY found a way to unlock it through hardware. You are correct that ZWO does not offer this. Some people are speculating they may do it in the future and will require sending the camera back in. Bummer because the ZWO integrated USB hub is awesome. Wish QHY did that.

ah yeah, I had not noticed that the QSY does not have a USB hub. That's a bummer. Well anyway, by the time I'm ready to buy that camera a better one from ZWO might turn up :)
