Which 'Projection' do you all use and why? pros and cons... was created by Gonzothegreat

In Kstars, under the View > Projection you have the choice between the following.
Which one do you use and why?

I can't remember which one I use, but not all of them will work with the Hy's wonderful Terrain (backyard image) feature that maps the trees and neighboring houses onto the sky. Any projection that does't work with that is dead to me!

I'm currently using the Equirectangular (trying to get used to...), I do like this style of projection, as in all flat.
Oh and I sill have to try the terrain feature from my observatory box...

Equirectangular is the only one which doesn't work right with the Terrain feature.
I use Lambert Azimuthal Equal-area just because it's the default...

I am using the Orthographic projection, it's the most useful for me as for moving objects on screen or rotating screen.

Found the issue with Equirectangular projections. Sent in a fix for review.
invent.kde.org/education/kstars/-/merge_requests/447

Please let me know if there are issues with any other projections.
