Yeah, thats where I put mine, find the best result are running monochrome with this camera.
Hope to upgrade to the better one (asi178mm?).
But hey, it is an allsky so just a side project for me, for when my latitude doesn't let me do the real nice stuff...

I think i'll change to the RPI HQ cam (12,3MP Sony IMX477) with a 1,56mm fisheye lens (from Aliexpress). Have seen great results with this combo.

Generating the startrails can be a bit of a balancing act. Startrails need to be generated with the darkest background.

It looks like in your case, your images are "brighter" on average. You may need to increase the "Star Trails Max ADU" setting to 60 or 70 to get proper star trails.

The flickering looks like the camera is returning bad frames occasionally. I have not seen "torn" frames like that previously.

The frames not being dark frame corrected, might be the wrong bit depth as Giles mentioned, although, I would not expect the camera to change the bit depth that often. Assuming you have an ASI20, you may want to go install the latest firmware for the camera and see if that helps.

Yes i have the ASI 120, and as i see the firmware on it is old (v3.0.0.5). I downloaded now the latest (v3.19), will upgrade the cam tomorrow.
For the bit depth problem, the sollution is already applied in the config as posted before.

Hi,
Just checked, and there is no new firmware for the ASI120MC. The FWUpdater Tool says it has the firmware V3.0.

Also unable to correctly stop indi.allsky. When i send the "systemctl --user stop indi-allsky" command, it takes minutes, and after that i see the status:
pi@indi-allsky:~ $ systemctl --user status indi-allsky
