Just managed my first sucessful completely automated meridian flip during a sequence.
Now I finally know how it works and what it does.
It waits until the exposure is completed before performing the flip. So it goes into waiting mode once you flip point is reached.
It performs a new solve.
It re-calibrates the guiding.
It continues with your sequence.
This now gives me a lot of piece of mind. The flips happen so it's not colliding with the pier, I have a rain sensor that sets off an alarm on my mobile if it starts to rain. Now I can sleep easy whilst collecting data.
I have also finally got auto focus working.

It still amazes me that after quite a few year at this astro lark I am still learning some of the basics.

Hats off to the Indi dev team! When I finally get it all correctly configured it is superb.
