Hi, values of comet is very precise ( Magnitude, AR, Dec )
Asteroids don't, especially the magnitude is very wrong.
I am attaching three images to give an idea of the case, which show the value of an asteroid, reported by kstars, in comparison
with the data downloaded from the Minor Planet Center (terminal window)
P.S.
Sorry for the Italian language in the images, but it is not possible for me to change the language to English in the latest versions of kstars.
I'm afraid comet values are still wrong, too. P/Borelly is listed as 6,81mag in KStars but in reality it's a 9,6mag object. At least this is what TheSkyLive and other publications say.
