Hi,
I noticed that in the Focus module, there is the option to use a dark frame to optimize the focus process.
I take some darks with the Dark library, but if i check the dark option in the Focus module and I run it (auto or manual) the system remove the check from the dark checkbox and work as normal, withous any differences.
Is this a bug?

Did you take darks with 2 s exposure and gain 120 and the same sensor temperature to match your 2 s gain 120 focus frames?

Yes, this is only an image as reference. my setup is with a qhy183m at 1sec and gain 35 at -20°C.
I have to check only at the binning. I will check in next days, is to hot now to go at -20°C

I have noticed the same issue. I took a whole suite of darks at different times and bins,Using my standard gain and offset yet when I tick the dark frame option it always comes back with no matching dark frame.

You confirmed my issue, and the one of my friend with similar setup. Last time we used KStars 3.5.8 and INDI 1.9.5, probably an issue solved with latest release??

I use KStars 3.5.9 stable and Indy 1.9.6. There, it works for me. Although darks are a bit picky about temperature. Has to match current sensor temp around +/- 1 deg.

You can change the threshold in the masters tab. It's set to 1 seconds by default.

Not to put a spanner in the works but I have a tec cooled camera and always shoot all my darks and lights at -5deg and I still had the issue. I’ll try widen the temp tolerance limit as suggested and see if that works in case there was some issue while shooting the darks.

Is gain the same? It has to exactly match the gain as well.

Well Jasem based on your feedback I found the issue. So I had recreated my darks but never deleted my old darks from the master list. So it kept picking the oldest file which didn’t match for gain.
