I made a small change to SEP MultiStar (internal) guiding. I added an option to increase the number of reference stars that the algorithm uses to compute the current guide drift, and hence the guide pulses. This may lead to more accuracy in determining the drift.

Previously the algorithm used a maximum of 10 stars. Now it still defaults to 10, but you can change this to use up to 100 stars. Of course, it can't use more guide stars than can be found on your guide image. If you're interested, experiment with this and let me know how it goes.

I've been happy with the results using 50 stars on my rig. I did adjust the guider's StellarSolver parameters a bit (I made sure my minArea parameter was large enough to avoid hot pixels, and I removed some of the filtering it was doing).

This feature is available in the latest code and nightly builds.

Here's a screenshot with an arrow pointing to the new parameter. You can also see in the guider's image view, that there are now many more guide stars than before.
