Hi all,

I just released Kstars 3.6.5 and INDI 2.0.2 for AstroArch - update with update-astroarch command

The problem with the toupcam seems to be completely solved now! The camera is recognized when INDI is started from EKOS and the offset is available and modifiable

Best,
Mattia

Wow! As far as I can see, everything is functional now! Many thanks!
Tested the Touptek 2600 color cam: no problems.
Maybe I can make a testsession under the stars the next days.
Will give feedback here.

Regards
Stefan

Hi Stefan I had two consecutive KStars crash creating a dark library but after rebooting no more issues trying to replicate the crash.
Now I have about 250 darks with various gain sets and durations with no issues.
I hope in a test under the stars soon too.

Thanks for providing the latest 'stable' KStars 3.6.5. Yesterday I made a fresh AstroArch 1.5.0 on a USB drive and used update-astroarch as you described. All looked good until I tried to input the practical parameters of my optical train. Each time I click on the Telescopes .... button, KStars crashes. The Indi Server is left running but cannot be selected to keep it running, it is always shut down and a fresh one started up. I guess this is back in the KStars bugs rather than AstroArch area and I'd better look on the forum to see if this bug is being reported elsewhere!
I am still getting the pop-up about the KDE Wallet but this may be because I am using the RealVNC VNC Connect app on my laptop?

Hello!

For the wallet, this will be fixed in 1.7, in the meanwhile if you want to stop it from appearing just follow the next steps:
- create a file under /home/astronaut/.config/kwalletrc
- in the file paste the following content
[Wallet]
Enabled=false

This will disable the wallet forever on the system after a reboot

Thanks for the report! I haven't tried to make a new optical train but I'll try to look into it with some debugging on to see if it' something I missed!

Best,
Mattia

The KDE Wallet is not really an issue since I can just cancel it each time.
No sign on the forum elsewhere of any general issues with optical trains in KStars.....so far!

Hi Mattia - I posted a separate new topic on the optical trains KStars crashes and @Jasem Mutlaq is suggesting that I need to "Rebuild from 3.6.5 branch"
Is this something I can do by update-astroarch or do you have to do the rebuild first? Thanks, Ed

Hi,

you could potentially do so but you should learn how ArchLInux and makepkg works first :) Plus unfortunately, on a raspberry pi it takes almost 2 hours to compile Kstars, I am finishing a meeting and I will look into it shortly after

Best,
Mattia

I compiled Kstars against the latest 3.6.5-stable branch, update the system and tell me if it works!

Same for me - all seems to be working on that front. I'll do some more testing of KStars 3.6.5 but it looks like your Arch side is working well. Thanks!
