Hi!

I'm trying to take flats with a Canon EOS 1000D through Ekos/INDI. Image settings is to use fits, not compressed, download to my client. The setup is a R-Pi by the mount and a laptop indoors.

However, when I get the images they have a maximum of 3653 rather than the 4096 that I would expect (given 12-bit capacity). Anyone knows what is happening here?

When downloading as native/CR2, it seems that I get something like 4092.

A fits and a cr2-file is available in a dropbox-folder here: www.dropbox.com/sh/fs744ujp8oed79d/AACfn...E98N8km8Tv2dUBa?dl=0

It doesn't have to be saturated to the maximum. It seems to be uniform around 3650.

Hi!

Yes, it doesni't this far seem to affect the quality of the images. These were as saturated as I could get them - 10 sec exposure in broad daylight, just because I wanted to see the maximum since it seemd strange.

But it is strange isn't it, that it is around 3650 in the fits, but 4092 in the cr2? At least that is the values I get in PixInsight. And it used to be 4096 in fits as well, a few months ago, with this camera (as far as I've seen).

So I'm wondering if something strange is happening in the transformation to fits format.
