Autoguider subframe automation was created by petarm
Auto guiding using a Subframe instead of the full frame uses less compute resources during an imaging run.
Is there any way for the software to automatically go to Subframe Mode after the Autoguider started? Ideally, you would hit Guide, then forget about it.
Anyways it is just a process optimisation which which would be handy...
But still nothing important, but it would make things simpler.
Lots of trial and error, mainly error, but in hindsight, it was easy!!!

Guiding in EKOS already supports subframing. The check box for subframing in the guide module. Assuming your guide camera supports it, once a star is selected from the full field, it should crop down.
