Offline and Remote Solving fail on KStars 3.2.2 on Mac OS 10.14.4

I'm using KStars 3.2.2 on Mac OS 10.14.4 as a stellarmate client and I'm unable to solve images using the Telescope and CCD simulators.
Here attacehd are Ekos verbose logs:

File Name: OfflineSolveLog.txt
File Size:18 KB

I've installed all the GSC and index files as indicated in the KStars Mac quick start guide. I configured the Astrometry.net Ekos Properties to use *Internal Solver* and *Internal astrometry..cfg* for offline solving.
If I try offline solving directly on Stellarmate it works.

Thank you in advance for your help,
Giorgio

It seems the issue is with the quality of the images supplied by the CCD Simulator. If I try offline load and slew it works.

I was having that issue too but on real captured images, the solver stops crashing immediatly.
The problem is with the astrometry binary files, I have recompiled and replaced them on the the app folder and it's working now.

I was able to make offline solving work using Load & Slew only on my Mac Mini. My field MacBook pro is still unable to solve anything...
My next test is to completely remove KStars and its related files and then reinstall it. Being unable to solve images completely breaks my workflow.

Offline solving seems broken on Kstars 3.2.2 on Mac. Solving crashes immediately with the following message:

Did you try reinstalling? I encountered an issue with back to back upgrades that eventually broke offline solving. I ended up having to remove the program, and all preference files then reinstalled, and everything worked as expected.

In my case yes I did, removed KStars and all dependent files withh AppRemover.
A new install gives a broken astrometry solver. I can also get it to work with external solver (homebrew install).

Same here. I uninstalled KStars and deleted the files listed in the PDF document included in the Kstars DMG installation image.

One thing you might have to do after a reinstall is go into the plate solve tab of EKOS, and select the preferences button. Make sure that it’s set to look into the default local directory. I think it’s the first selection at the top of the window. But don’t have it in front of me to know. This should get offline solving to work.

I just tried to build a new DMG for KStars but it's failing on dbus.
Anyway, astrometry binaries still compile and work fine. So maybe it's just a build thing.

Hi everybody,

I have installed lastest update Kstars 3.2.2 and indilib 1.7.8, since astrometry can't solve offline but seems work with
load and slew...I use Ubuntu 16 onto Raspberry 3.0 and Kstars onto Windows10 ...

I don't understand what is wrong ... I have reinstalled Kstars 3.2.1 but I believe some issue with lib 1.7.8 but where ?

Have a nice night

Gerard
