Sky Safari issues

Hi,

I tried using Sky Safari with Kstars/Indi and ran into three issues. This is running both Sky Safari and Kstars on the same Mac.

1) It took almost one minute to connect Sky Safari.

2) Once connected, i was able to slew the mount, but the time and location were not set on the mount (Celestron AVX).

3) Huge CPU usage by indi_skysafari (using 100% of 3 cores), which does not stop after disconnecting Sky Safari.

Has anyone else experienced any of these?

Hi all,

Just was going to start a new thread, but saw this post. I'm also experiencing point #3. CPU usage is huge, even when not using it. Can anybody have a look?

Regards

I can confirm this. After connected SkySafari runs very slow.

well, just to clarify. I'm not talking about skysafari itself, but the indi module. The host where the skysafari indi module is running (an rpi, in my case) experiences an huge cpu usage

I can't confirm this issue on Linux (with Safari connecting from Android).
