In this thread, alacant’s picture of EKOS shows the same thing as what I see. In the upper right corner of the Child Window is a red X. No accompanying _ or [] as part of Linux window dressings are there. Clicking on the Title bar with a mouse shows the window functions minimize and maximize are disabled.

One final data point to consider is VNC. The mouse in VNC is just a one button mouse. The problems were compounded trying the juggle the INDI equipment and getting EKOS to polar align. Cameras and INDI appeared to be fighting. I wanted to see the fight to fix it. I could not get past EKOS in VNC.

The good news for me is INDI, cameras, and Astrometry are now friends. Now on to get vap0 working.
