Meridian flip - when active and when inactive?

Hi!

A question about the Meridian Flip, that is now in the mount tab in Ekos (and very much clearer!): I notice that it sometimes is "inactive" and sometimes it seems active and says when there will be a MF. What makes it active and inactive? I belive I do te same things... And I'd much like it to be active, but don't see how I change inactive to active.

A MF is only necessary if you position your mount east of the meridian. In this case a MF is active and counts the time back until the target crosses the meridian.

When you position your mount west of the meridian, then no meridian flip is necessary. In this case MF is inactive.

Just to add to Wolfgang’s comment. The mount has to be tracking an object that will cross the meridian. If it’s not tracking an object, or as he says, is already across the meridian then no flip will be active.
