I have my sesto senso calibrated thru the calibration options in Ekos.
My max position is 105000.
But when i shutdown the system and restart it the max position stll is 105000 but suddely also the current position is 105000. Though the current position really is about 50000.
So i can not move the focusser to a higher position.
If your focuser has a clutch, loosen it, and move to the position indicated by INDI, or reset to 0 position. Overall though, the actual position doesn't really matter. I find it best to unlock the clutch, and roughly focus by eye. Then lock down the clutch and autofocus. The total range of your focuser doesn't really matter too much as you'll primarily only be focusing within a very narrow range. Hopefully that makes sense.
I know the actual position doesn't matter. but every time i do the calibration everything works like a charm.
For instance i am at position 50000 and everything is in focus. When shutting down the system and again starting up then suddenly the current position is 100000. This is the max position.
So i can only move the focusser in one direction, towards 0.
I now found a way to deal with this.
Every time after startup i will mover the focusser manually to the max position and the move thru Ekos to the 'in focus' position.
From that point i can mover thru Ekos in both directions.
Sorry, I forgot to respond yesterday after I saw your message come through. I was thinking after you ran the calibration, you might need to go back into the INDI control panel (on the main EKOS screen) where you set and save driver preferences, to save the calibration possibly.
