As the subject says... What's the difference?

I've been invested in Stellarmate for over a year. What am I missing out? I have my own Raspberry 4Pi, so I can use either I assume.

This question has been unanswered for a while.
I am a novice user of stellarmate OS and gadget, and have spent many hours learning it.
There is astroberry around but I didnt dare to try it (enough with setting Stellarmate).
In any case I see many people in the forum with experience in both systems.
It would be great it someone could build a PROS and CONS lists for Stellarmate and Astroberry from his experience...

Stellarmate is based on ubuntu mate and its repository are directly managed by all the INDI crew. So, Stellarmate is an image ready to burn and there is some tools like EkosLive, and updates are much frequents, and it requires a payment.
Astroberry is based on Raspbian 32bit and the INDI software are managed by third person, and not directly from INDI crew, also the packages reposotory is different and there is a little difference between operating systems, so packages could not be used as is on both systems, and needs to be adapted.
Personally, I started with Astroberry on Raspberry 3 just for a quick global view, but quickly I moved out and I built my personal system. Now I also built another version based on ubuntu mate 32bit because Astroberry's updates are not released quickly

They are essentially the same but handled differently.
Also AB is free and SM is not.
I personally prefer SM but that doesn't mean that AB is inferior.
Both are well supported in this forum.
With AB you would need to do more Linux gymnastics than with SM in my opinion.

And they are both based on Raspbian now.

INDI packages is found in PPA UBUNTU repository sudo add-apt-repository ppa:mutlaqja/ppa, but if it is not based on Raspbian, where are located the packages?
