I am having the same problem with iOptron V3 ...
Done full purge and re-install ... as well as a format of OS and stable driver install.
It keeps crashing my mount as it goes in the wrong direction. Super frustrating.
I will look to see if i can allow it to go a full 360 with no telescope on.
I was thinking of trying to issue the commands from Stellarium to see if it still happens.
--Edit:
I managed to get this to happen again, and my fix does not work in all cases...
I will keep testing until i can get to the bottom of this, because it is super frustrating.
Regards
Chris

nmea driver does update mount correctly... a person csn manually change location an utc time on driver but still no fix ...
only once you connect simated gps, does it fix problem.
i think it is some kind of misalign on location / time between kstars and indi.
further testing would be needed, isolate, what causes the bug, i will see if i can force it to happen again.

I did a purge of kstars and the driver, then reinstall. including deleting .indi folder and .local/share/kstars.
this time round i setup kstars and added my location to kstars, then set kstars to master the time and location.
now it works. i have not used gps yet.

Well at least you are getting connected I cannot even get the EqStar Pro serial port to work on my astroberry thinking about getting the stellarmate. How well does those the EQstar Pro work with stellarmate.
Hi
I see you have an EqStar Pro, I just got mine the other day and the only way I have been able to connect to is using the Snyscan app on IOS. I am having no luck getting the astroberry to connect to the serial port.
For you issue I had the same problem with the bressor exos2 goto system. I found a custom driver that worked but the sewing was all wrong. www.cloudynights.com/topic/775652-bresse...perly/#entry11244944
I think I have finally sorted the problem out. I found at one point, that when the mount was in home position, in kstars the position was not coinciding with the north celestial pole. I ended up getting the mount to slew to the NCP and set this as home. Crucially, I updated the home position in the INDI control panel and it worked and now slews the correct way. Interestingly, in the past I had tried to purge etc in the EKOS control panel, but the problem persisted. I think that the key was not purging or updating home in EKOS, but in INDI!
