Hi,
I am a new member of the Indi community.
...lthough I started astrophotography  over ten years ago. So, my setup is a Windows 10 PC on a wireless connection at the telescope  and a MAC in the house. My goal is to use a client server mode instead of remote desktop. I have Maximdl and the needed Ascom drivers.
My question is.....is it useful for me as a non programmer but loving tech to try to get Indi for Windows to run my scope and cameras?
else, would a virtual machine and the latest version of Indi with associated indi drivers work?

Thank You!
Paul

No, it will not run on Windows.
You can run a client on Windows but the server needs to be run on Mac/Linux.
The easiest way is to get a cheap Raspberry PI 4 (RPI4) and install prepackaged OS/software on it - Stellarmate or Astroberry.
Those will run/do everything.
You then can connect to RPI from Mac/Windows KStars/Ekos clients. Remote Desktop (VNC) will also work.
