My experience is that the start of each shot stops the cooling fan for 2/3 seconds, but does not turn off the cooling peltier. The temperature remains constant. However the behavior is anomalous.
I use short exposures so camera stops cooler every few seconds. Where to get previous version for arm64 driver? Anyone can upload indi-toupbase_*.arm64.deb file for previous version of INDI?
I see the "cooling stops" behavior also with my Risingcam 571c. I mentioned it in another touptek thread - interesting to know that it's not just me. I cannot see any sign of a command going to the cooling system in any log, so I'm not sure how to formally report the issue.
In my case, the sensor temperature does rise when taking short exposures. Last night I took flats with a 2-second pause programmed between each exposure and that helped some. If I watch the INDI panel, cooler power briefly shows 0% at the start of each exposure, and both the fan and the TEC LEDs turn off on the camera itself.
Hi
You have to build the previous version against the correct indi version.
@nou has -excellent- scripts with git version numbers to do this. Maybe he could help?
By 'latest update' do you mean the current nightly build? I am also on ubuntu 22.04 lts on an x64_86 (Beelink mini-pc). With my Risingcam 571c and the current nightly, the cooler still turns off at the start of every sub.
Thank you Karas. The issue is that the TEC system, including the fan, shuts completely off for a second or so at the start of every exposure. This behavior is new.
