The configuration file format has changed so much since 2.x.

The best way to convert is to take the values from your old configuration, and enter them in my Online Configuration Generator which is at o.baheyeldin.com:1111/

You will then get a Config.h that you can compile.

Hi Khalid,
Thank you so much.

Does the new firmware only works for boards up than STM V.1.8?. This is the one I have (I beleave).
  • The boards STM v1.8 are MKS V1? or MKS V2? I do not know to see it.
If my board can be upgraded, tonight I will do it , and if can't do it:
  • Have some risk of having problems if I upgrade it?,
  • Or better to leave it with the limitations now I have?
Thank you, you are a good master of the universe .

Attach a picture of the board that you have and I will verify if it is an STM32 Blue Pill, or something else.

If you know the values to enter into the Online Configuration Generator, then there are very little risks. You will need to reenter a few things after you first power up OnStep (e.g. latitude and longitude, horizon and overhead limits, and maybe backlash if you have it), but after that, it should be smooth.

If you do upgrade to 4.24, and you have a WiFi module, then you need to upgrade it with the SmartWebSever (SWS) too.

Dear Khalid,

I attach the picture of my board. Thanks a lot for your suport.

I used a bluethooth module not wifi module.
I hope that I could upgrade it.
Thanks,
Pep

In the Online Configuration Generator select "STM32 Blue Pill".

Note that you have to use a different board manager in the Arduino IDE.

The details are here

onstep.groups.io/g/main/wiki/3915

Ask on the OnStep groups.io mailing list if you have further questions.

Hi folks,
After a while I have been able to update the frimware and indi-server (on raspi and PC). But it doesn't make me meridian FLIP.
Are there any prerequisites that I must meet in order to do so?
Or, what would be the procedure to check that it makes me meridian flip?

Thanks for the suggestions,

Pep
