Bi-monthly release with minor bug fixes and improvements

Losmandy Gemini started giving ERROR and WARNING on connection

I started getting the following errors a couple of days ago, I think after installing the latest KStars/INDI updates. After connecting Kstars also thinks the mount is pointing at a star in Pisces rather than Polaris. If I do a Sync/Plate solve on Polaris and then slew to a star the "Losmandy Gemini" target doesn't follow the slew/mount. After a plate solve the Gemini target snaps to the correct location. Anyone else having these issues after the latest upgrade or know what could cause these issues.

Here are the errrors:

I don't know whether this is helpful since I am running a Losmandy G-11 Version 1 but anyway... I updated both server and client to the most recent nightlies and get this on startup:

I forgot to mention the scope is pointing towards Polaris as it should be the case here.

Strange, I guess I will try resetting the mount to factory defaults and/or reinstall KStars/INDI. :( I wish I could figure out where KStars is getting Long 237:03. It should be -122.55. I wonder if there could be a bug with negative Long's? I'm sure someone else would have already run into that issue. Thanks again for posting your logs.

I assume the G11 control box displays the correct Long on startup?

360 - 122.55 = 237.45 so 237.03 is close but not exactly the same.

Enable mount logging to see why it exactly fails when it communicates with the mount.

Gerrrrr! I'm about to shoot my mount or something. I uninstalled Kstars and did a test with just the stable version of KStars 2.9.4 installed and it worked correctly. Then I installed INDI-Full, added the rest of my devices and now it is doing the same thing, Connect to the mount and Kstars thinks it is pointing below the horizon. If I sync Losmandy on Polaris and do a slew it slews but doesn't update in KStars (2.9.4 still)and goes back to pointing below horizon after disconnect/reconnect.

I uninstalled indi-full and it still doesn't work correctly. I'm going to try to uninstall everything again and see if I can see where everything goes wrong. This is so strange because everything worked great for several weeks.

Here are the logs:

Uninstalled KStars/INDI and deleted all of the config files and directories I could find. Installed Kstars 2.9.4 from the Ubuntu app store and mount control is working correctly again. Now I'm going to figure out how to install just the INDI modules for my QHY and ASI cameras without installing INDI-Full. Do you know how often KStars gets updated on the Ubuntu app store?

Maybe this will help narrow down the issue? After opening testing and closing KStars several times and Gemini working correctly I installed this and started getting the errors in the logs again.

Installed this: sudo apt-get install libindi1 indi-bin

And started getting this in the logs again:

Ok, here is a test you can do to narrow this issue down. Install indi-bin from Ubuntu store, then run the mount logging. Then do the same with indi-full from the PPA. We can then compare the difference and find where the problem occurs.
