Skywatcher EQ6-R Pro - can not connect using Mac and INDI server was created by Gregory Sousa

Looking to get my new mount set up. Using INDI server and have the synscan mount selected. Won't recognize the mount on any connected usb? This mount doesnt have a serial port. but a USB type B printer port. Does that make a difference? Is there a firmware version I am not seeing?
