The CMOS camera I am contemplating using has huge file sizes especially unbinned. I was considering a flashdrive but all of the Stellarmate ports will be used by equipment. I would like to avoid another powered hub if possible. My set up is a permanent remote one with Stellarmate connected to the observatory network. I am guessing I could use one of the windows machines on the network that has storage space? Not sure that my internet speed is fast enough to use cloud storage. I am curious how people are handling this and how to configure Stellarmate if using external storage locations.
Thanks
Dave
I share a directory I call NEW.CAPTURES from my desktop machine inside to /NEW.CAPTURES on the pi. Ekos saves all my FITS files in there, so they're all ready for PixInsight on the fast desktop machine.
RClone could be a solution that sync a local folder with a service like OneDrive GDrive ecc.
I prefer share a folder via Windows share between a raspberry and my windows desktop, the same folder are also shared via FTP that is more reliable than windows share and better for a large volume of files
