Parking iOptron CEM40 disables camera capture

Hi all,

When I park the mount, both the CCD [tab] "Capture a preview" button and the Guide [tab] "Capture" button are disabled.
If I then use the iOptron hand controller to go to "Zero Position" (where I basically already am), both the Capture buttons are enabled again.
It doesn't help to "UnPark" the mount, I must use the hand controller to get things working again.
Anyone else experiencing this?

OS: Stellarmate v1.5.9
Mount: iOptron CEM40
Camera: ZWO ASI 294 MC Pro
Guide cam: ZWO ASI 120 MM-S

For me, on a different mount, I need to enable tracking to enable the camera.

Hi Ake,

I am running the same hardware as you apart from I am using the latest KStars/indi/ekos nightly build running on RPi4 8GB under Ubuntu 21.04.1 rather than Stellarmate
Parking is still an issue with CEM40 in that the indi gui will show that the mount is parked but ekos shows it is unparked (when in reality it is parked). Pressing park gives a log report that the mount is slewing but no movement occurs even when the mount is away from the parked position (i.e. unparked and tracking). I get around this by using the "go to home" function in the indi gui and this does the same as park.

In my set-up it is possible to take images in the parked position and when not tracking. Everything appears to work well on the current nightly build.

Hope this helps.

Hi Mike,

Thanks for your response/explanation!
I have now upgraded to the latest stable build (1.6.0) and I can confirm that it works as you describe.
The "Got to home" button in the Indi control panel does the same as park.
Great, now I don't need the hand controller!
