Bi-monthly INDI Library released with new drivers and bug fixes.

1.7 64bit - ASI120mm-mini not seen

I recently upgraded my Rpi4 to the 8GB version so I decided to give 64bit Stellarmate a try. No matter how I connect my 120mm-mini (the newer one with the USB-c)- Directly to the Rpi4, powered hub, or the ASI533 Hub,., indi doesn't see it.
It sees my ASI533 just fine as well as all my other gear.

My older Rpi4 2GB version running the 32bit version of Stellarmate sees it just fine. Same cables.

Has anyone else run into this with the 64bit version?

Odd, lsusb shows it as detected? or SM Dashbaord -> Hardware page?

After a bit more fiddling I believe the issue may stem from my Pocket Power Box Adv Gen2.

If I unplug PPBA from the Pi with it turned off and then plug everything directly into the Pi and boot up....I can start indi servies which is able to detect everything just fine.
I have auto-connect turned off. At this point, I can plug my PPBA back into the Pi and the other gear back into the PPBA. Then I can go through and connect each piece of gear within the indi control panel.

However, if I stop indi services and then start them up again, the ASI120mm-mini no longer shows up again.

Jasem, I will check when I get back home tonight.

Thanks, Max! I will try your solution as well. Do you have PPB too?

No, I don't have a PPBA.

Curiously enough, tonight everything worked as expected. The asi120mm-min connected no problem. Nothing was updated or changed, so I'm a bit baffled but happy everything seems to be fine.

In my case, it didn't work until I applied the "chmod +rx /sys/bus/usb/devices/usb* in /etc/rc.local" hack.
Works just fine since then...

Something strange is going on with 64-bit.
Worked fine until today.

Yesterday I came back from a dark site where everything (including SM 64-bit) worked great and without a single fault.

Today I continued testing/setting-up my new mount and SM 64-bit worked well for some time until after one of reboots....
After that it wouldn't connect to any ZWO device, it would connect only to the mount.
Tried two different sd cards (which worked just a short time ago) - same behavior...

Tried 32-bi version - all works.

I am puzzled.... : (

This suggests some transient issue with USB. dmesg or lsbusb shows anything?

if I boot with the mount physically disconnected - both ZWO cameras and EAF are visible and connect.
if I boot with the mount physically connected - only the mount connects, no ZWO.
oh... iPolar and iGuider do connect (but I don't intend to use them at this time).

I had a similar issue a while ago (when I switched from RPI3 to RPI4) with my HEQ5 and an EQDir cable based on a Cypress chip.
Once I switched to a different (Prolific?) cable the issue was gone.

Tried again with all recent updates. SM 1.7.1
Doesn't work right. Exactly as my post above.
32bit works just fine.
That's with iOptron CEM40.

With RST-135 mount SM 64bit works great.
