In my case, it didn't work until I applied the "chmod +rx /sys/bus/usb/devices/usb* in /etc/rc.local" hack.
Works just fine since then...

Something strange is going on with 64-bit.
Worked fine until today.

Yesterday I came back from a dark site where everything (including SM 64-bit) worked great and without a single fault.

Today I continued testing/setting-up my new mount and SM 64-bit worked well for some time until after one of reboots....
After that it wouldn't connect to any ZWO device, it would connect only to the mount.
Tried two different sd cards (which worked just a short time ago) - same behavior...

Tried 32-bi version - all works.

I am puzzled.... : (

This suggests some transient issue with USB. dmesg or lsbusb shows anything?

if I boot with the mount physically disconnected - both ZWO cameras and EAF are visible and connect.
if I boot with the mount physically connected - only the mount connects, no ZWO.
oh... iPolar and iGuider do connect (but I don't intend to use them at this time).

I had a similar issue a while ago (when I switched from RPI3 to RPI4) with my HEQ5 and an EQDir cable based on a Cypress chip.
Once I switched to a different (Prolific?) cable the issue was gone.

Tried again with all recent updates. SM 1.7.1
Doesn't work right. Exactly as my post above.
32bit works just fine.
That's with iOptron CEM40.

With RST-135 mount SM 64bit works great.

I pushed an update for stellarmate device manager on 64bit that should help in this issue.

Jasem - thanks!
Didn't help though.
lsusb shows nothing.
sudo lsusb lists all devices.

Also cannot access the shared Pictures folder from external PC.
The folder is shown but cannot be opened.
Another permission issue?

btw, I think I might have a *possible* fix for iGuider. Can you submit a ticket at StellarMate and send teamviewer info? I can test my idea and see if it works. Not guaranteed to work, just an experiement.

Jasem - thanks!
I am not sure how to check permissions... I am a Linux idiot.
I am not using the TeamViewer. I tried but got confused with licensing. Will give it another try.
