I tried the same star-hopping pattern indoors watching the mount movements. All went well without a problem.
Do you have an idea on what could have happened?
The mount's software/firmware glitch?

Just went on vacation 800 miles from home and took my mobile setup with me.
Was able to shoot for four nights. No problems at all!
Quite happy with Stellarmate/INDI/Ekos.
Used AZ-GTi mount and Nikon D5300.
KStars was running on a Windows 10 laptop WiFi-connected to Stellarmate.
It was a bit slow but faster than it used to be before I made some adjustments (thanks to you guys).

(after I got back home) I bought an ASI120MC-S to speed things up.
It works but... I'll create a separate topic on this.
UPDATE: Got the ASI120MC working correctly.

By "sampling value in the options tab" do you mean this 'downsampling' value, or am I missing something?

Wow... What a difference a finder with a CCD makes... Align / Plate solving now takes seconds, not minutes. Pretty good.
Had a problem with Polar Alignment module, though - will report. Had just a couple of hours of relatively clear skies to experiment. Now it's dead cloudy.
