Hi,

I always have the same problems, maybe some one of you have the same. My procedure is as follows:

Starting Indi on Stellar Mate with these devices
- Skywatcher NEQ6 mount and EQdir cable (using EQmod driver in INDI)
- Starlight Express X2 Autoguider
- Sony Alpha 7s DSLR

First I do the auto alignment with Astrometry and afterwards the INDI internal autoguiding (at first dark frame capture, then guide). The autoguiding calibration works fine and the the guiding starts.
But when capturing frames with the Sony DSLR the autoguiding aborts, the devices are disconnected and I must restart INDI and do everything again. I´m not sure, but I think this is since I am using the EQdir cable with the EQmod driver. Before I used the handcontroller.
These are the error messages:
EQMod Mount : "[ERROR] Failed to connect to port (/dev/ttyUSB0). Error: Port failure Error: No such file or directory. Check if device is connected to this port. "
"Exposure timeout. Restarting exposure..."
"Exposure failed. Restarting exposure..."
"Exposure timeout. Aborting Autoguide."

Attached is the complete log-file.

Thanks in advance, if some one can help.

This is most likely a power or cable issue as the serial port was completely lost. Is your mount powered properly? No low voltage issues?

There is another odd issue about running out of memory on your Windows box.. what's the RAM on that??

Hi Jasem,
where shall I know if it was a low voltage issue of the mount? Is it in the log?

DSLR and Stellar Mate I ´m powering with 230V power supply. But nevertheless some times the DSLR connection is lost. Fortunately the last two nights every thing went fine, no problems, no exposure timeout! ((-:
Very nice gadget!

My notebook has got 32GB RAM.

On a SkyWatcher mount low power can be seen by a blinking red light next to where the power cable gets connected in the mount. It should be burning steadily.

As for the DSLR, are you sure that the auto switch off setting was disabled?

I do not know what auto switch off setting you mean.
But the DSLR was still powered on, but it lost the connection to INDI.

BTW: How to update INDI Library v1.7.6?

Dunno, I am not familiar with this camera but some models have it and it can be a cause for problems.
