Hi. After having various issues keeping all my devices connected I followed the advice and got myself a powered USB hub.
I have a Sitecom CN-084 7x USB 3.0. It's fairly vompact and nice and thin. I sandwich it between the Powerbox and the Pi. Up until now it is working perfectly. I plug all my devices (HEQ5-Pro, EOS 6D, Pegasus Personal powerbox, QHY tracking camera, SensoSesto focusser) into the hub. I power the Pi and the Hub from the powerbox (using 2 BEC's to step down the voltage from 12V to 5V).

I use FITFORT 7 in 1 hub (i have found interesting сomparative artile about usb hubs here www.bestadvisers.co.uk/usb-hubs). The hub is plugged into the Stellarmate, other devices into the hub. I must admitt that is very handy that FITFORT have even SD port for SD and a separate one for microSD cards

This hub works very well. The only drawback is that it is a USB2 hub. It runs via a 12V battery and has ESD protection onboard:

Yes, I agree, that hub woks very well and runs on 12V which I find makes it easier. StarTech also has a range of other similar ones. I now use a 7 port USB 2-hub from them. Works very well too!!

I also have that one, it is OK, but the uplink port is one of those that easily becomes disconnected. I have everything in a self contained box, with cable ties on everything to prevent any movement. But power-wise (12V), and operability have been fine. Just don't expect it to run good if you hang it off your USB3 cables.

I'm using Astroberry btw, but I doubt it makes a difference.

Plugged in at the moment ASI120MM - ZWO EAF - DSLR

And the powered Hub i wanna buy ist the TP-Link UH720 7-Port USB 3.0 Hub with 2 Exclusive 2.4 A Charging Ports

And does anyone know if an SSD works at temperatures down to -10°C / 14°F?

From recent experience, I can confirm that my Samsung T5 1TB SSD works down to at least -8.5 C.
