Two SX camera's

Dear all,

I use a Lodestar as well as a SXVR-h814 and a DMK
Creating a profile in Ekos, I set the DMK as main and the Lodestar as guide. Do I need to set an AUX for the SXVR as well?
If I don't Ekos sees it anyway......

Cheers

First of all what three cameras in the same profile, two is enough, one guide and one for imaging, if the third camera is for a different purpose, say planetary, then you need a second profile for that set up.. :)

Sorry AstroNerd, two is not enough: one for guiding, second one for imaging spectra, third one for alignment/platesolving....

Well beats me as most people use the same camera for imaging and platesolving, why on earth would you use another camera just for that, I use a polemaster for alignment, but once aligned, back to the two for Imaging and the polemaster is disconnected...
If it works in the auxiliary list then go for it... :)

Platesolving probably doesn’t work on spectra... ;-)

Hi AstroNerd,
A spectrum looks like this:

Hence the need for a third camera (attached to a separate scope) :-)

And, something a bit off topic, do you know why I can't use 3x3 binning with my SXVR-h814?
It would be very helpful for faint stars....
I see that you use the same brand;-)

The three cameras would be detected fine.. no need to add AUX.
