Download armhf = 32 bit version at:

sourceforge.net/projects/astap-program/f...p_armhf.deb/download

The arm64 version is for the 64 bit operating system. They are not interchangeable.

You need 32 bit as SM on 1.5. Is 32 bit it was the versions on Ubuntu that were 64 bit...

Yes the new ASTAP is there if you look in the astrometry configuration settings..... :)

So did 1.5.0 revert back to 32bit? I thought we've been in 64bit for a few updates lately (in fact there were two choice of SM, one for 32 and other for 64)

Argh.

Ok, I'll go grab that one.

I thought I did and I don't see them (see attached).

First of all the new version of SM is based on Raspbian now and NOT Ubuntu, and Raspbian is still 32 bit, the previous versions of SM were all Ubuntu and so 64 bit, so yes we have gone back to 32 bit, which makes absolutely no difference to how Kstars runs...

Secondly I meant to say they sextractor was installed if you look in astrometry settings you will see a checkbox for it.... :)

AstroNerd:
"And you have the latest 1.5.0 version, all up to date... very odd...."

Yes. Running the "Updater Package" yields nothing new. Nor does: "sudo apt-get install -f"

You can’t get the full new 1.5.0 from the updater, you have to download and burn the new image to the SD card.... :)

Once you've burnt the 1.5.0 image to an SD card and have that card up and running in your device then open a terminal session and enter:

sudo apt update && sudo apt-get upgrade -y && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

to pull down updates to the latest build

sudo apt update && sudo apt-get upgrade -y && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

Was the trick! Thank you.

I tried "sudo apt-get install -f" one more time before I did that just to see. And it and no updates. Saving that for the next time ;)
