Would it be possible to enable https access to the forum?
It will significantly increase the security of the forums. Right now the uid/pass is transmitted in cleartext not exactly safe...
The www.indilib.org/ redirects to the cloudaccess page with the wrong cert (*.cloudaccess.net).
The letsencrypt.org certificates are free and easy to use (I am using it myself).
I can try to help if there are any obstacles.

It seems there is a fee associated with even 3rd party certificates from CloudAccess ($99 per year), and I'm already paying hosting for INDI, so I'll check if there is a free way to do it otherwise nothing much can be done.

So you cannot just install your own certs to your website?
Looks strange. The cert from letsencrypt.org is free.
Have you considered moving the site to some other provider?
(github? they provide free hosting for free projects, no forum though)

Did you ever consider having the possibility to implement forum user donations? I've used fora on which I pay a small fee (e.g. 10 euro/dollar) and therefore contribute, on a small part of keeping the forum up and running.
I think you are doing a tremendous great job and the least we can do is collectively keep you out of financial costs.

This is one possibility indeed and I might implement it soon. However, I'm also trying to get some support for INDI here in Kuwait as there are a couple of scientific institutions that can provide some level of aid. If that doesn't work, I'll resort to the donation part to cover the basic costs.
