Hi,
On Sequence Generator pro, there is a feature I like. This consists in associating a "manual" rotator with plate solving. This function allows the camera to be oriented by hand following SGP's instructions until the desired angle is obtained.
I don't think this feature exists with Ekos.
I think it would be interesting.
If you have WCS enabled, and do a plate solve, you can see your image orientation in kstars and adjust from there. It also tells you the degree of rotation in the solver logs.

Jasem, could you be so kind and line out the basic steps what's to do and which angles to look after when attempting to replicate the exact FOV as in an FITS-image saved in an earlier session. Unfortunately I'm not using an automated rotator and have to do it manually...
I'm able to get the FITS solved and get the scope centered on the target coordinates but unfortunately I still do not understand which angles to get matched (and where to find the values).
The principle of the position angle is obvious to me, but I'm missing the small step of knowing what values to match and how to proceed after manual rotation of the camera.
