Could the following feature be added if possible please:

On successful slew to target, the CURRENTSTEPPERS.RAStepsCurrent & CURRENTSTEPPERS.DEStepsCurrent are saved to a file automatically.
This will help someone like me using an AstroEQ box who has an issue on shutting down the indiserver, of the scope's RA/DEC location being lost due to design of the box.
On reconnection, you should be able to "re-load last known scope position" from the previously saved file.

This is what should be done by Park/Unpark feature.

Concerning AstroEQ, you may try to modify the indi_eqmod driver to open the serial port without setting the RTS line, I think this is an option which may be set before opening the port.
