Hi,

The looping issue still occurred in Raspberry pi even after update the latest SDK. So, at this point, SV305 pro is temp useless in RPI4 for guiding (PHD2 and Kstars). But using AstroDMx is fine.

Hope you can take a look.

Thanks.

I'm running driver Version 1.2.2 on Astroberry/PI4/Kstars. This appears to be the latest build according to APT installer for Indi-sv305. Live Video is crashing INDI driver with the SVBONY 305 Pro every time it is executed. Thanks and please let me know if I can provide any more detail, hopefully there is a new driver version available to help resolve. Currently using AstroDMX without issues.

Hello,

I just pushed the Mac OS 64 libraries in my repo (github.com/thx8411/indi-3rdparty).
But I'm Apple agnostic. I don't have any device to test it.

Raspberry/SV305 Pro issues : could you please enable the debug log level and send me your logs by MP ?

Thanks and best regards,

Thx8411

I can do the debug for Raspberry this week and send the logs. Can you clarify "MP?" Sorry, not tracking the acronym.

Sorry, my fault. French habit "Message Privé" = "Private Message".
Or just attach your log file to your post in the topic.

Just a word of note regarding PM's on this Forum.... The Forum software does not alert or notify when you have a PM (or MP) waiting. You have to physically go to "Profile" and then click Private Messages to see if there are any and to respond.

This has caught more than a few unaware in recent memory.

Hi,

This is the debug log when I use kstars guide and start looping with 1sec exposure.

As you can see the exposure will exit and kstars will try to restart the exposure but failed.

Hope this help.

Dear folks,
Just today I receive (2'5 mounts later) the SV-305Pro.
I want to check it, at the beginning on the computer (by Ubuntu 20.xxx) and then on raspi4 (astroberry). But I don't know how to install the driver. Someone could help to explain me, step by step, how to do it? Which file I need to download and then how to install.
(github.com/thx8411/indi-3rdparty/tree/master/libsv305 and github.com/thx8411/indi-3rdparty/tree/master/indi-sv305)
Thanks a lot,
Pep

Hi Thx8411,

since you already receive the sample SV305 PRO, do you mind to get a Raspberry Pi 4 to further debug the issue as well? This thread seems very slow in progress. :( No hurt feeling.

Best regards,
Tom

Hello Cirera,

If you allready have the indi repository installed, you just have to get the libsv305 and indi-sv305 packages :

"sudo apt install libsv305 indi-sv305"

Best regards,

Hello Tom,

And do you want me to cook something for you aswell ?
Concerning the slow progress, I have a full time job, 2 children and a wife, with health issues...
Your logs doesn't help anyway.

Jared gave me some interesting logs :

<<
[2021-01-13T18:37:32.604 EST INFO ][ org.kde.kstars.indi] - SVBONY SV305PRO 0 : "[INFO] Streaming started "
[2021-01-13T18:37:32.789 EST INFO ][ org.kde.kstars.ekos] - "SVBONY SV305PRO 0 is offline."
>>

It could be a power issue, or an SDK issue.
AstroDMX seems to work.
I checked, AstroDMX use the same SDK binary as me, so it should be related to the way I use the SDK, but only on the armv8 arch.
Sadly, AstroDMX isn't open source, I can't see how they use the SDK.

Please check the "libSVBCameraSDK.so" file. In the last driver, It should be 2229568 bytes long.

@all
Every RPi4 owner have the same issue, or just Tom and Jared ?

Thx8411
