I have always found it handy to use a CCTV lens like the following to test the software with  my camera without the telescope...

www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B075RZT7P8/ref=..._image?ie=UTF8&psc=1

This saves me the bother of having to haul out my scope in the daytime just to do testing.
I use one of the extension rings that comes with the lens for usable focus.
I have the SV305.

Hi Hades,

You can now connect your camera. It's a good point !

Could you please send me screenshots of each of the Ekos SV305M Pro setting tabs ?

Could you also take two long dark exposure (about 60s), with the cap on and send me the resulting fits file ?

Thanks !

Best regards !

Hi Hades,

Thanks. Your settings are OK. Did you try to randomly change the image settings (gain,  dark offset, etc).
You're right, you captures are dark dark dark black ;-)

Could you please check your SDK version :

go to /usr/local/lib/ (or /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/), you should find a group of files like this one :

-rw-r--r--  1 root root  2412872 janv.  8  2021 libSVBCameraSDK.so.1.6.8
lrwxrwxrwx  1 root root       24 janv.  8  2021 libSVBCameraSDK.so.1 -> libSVBCameraSDK.so.1.6.8
lrwxrwxrwx  1 root root       20 janv.  8  2021 libSVBCameraSDK.so -> libSVBCameraSDK.so.1

The last version is 1.6.8

Best regards,

I see version 1.6.6 in the folder. Btw I am using Ubuntu on my linux laptop and Raspbian on RPi. Testing is done on laptop, but I would like to use the camera mainly on Raspberry.

lrwxrwxrwx  1 root root       20 zář 13 20:45 libSVBCameraSDK.so -> libSVBCameraSDK.so.1
lrwxrwxrwx  1 root root       24 zář 13 20:45 libSVBCameraSDK.so.1 -> libSVBCameraSDK.so.1.6.6
-rw-r--r--  1 root root  2441608 zář 13 20:45 libSVBCameraSDK.so.1.6.6

Hi Hades,

Ok, I just checked. The 1.6.8 is not yet available in the official repository, nor the 1.6.7

1.6.8 just adds Mac OS X support, but the 1.6.7 embbeds patchs for the SV305M Pro.

You may install the 1.6.8 from the sources you cloned from github this way :

> mkdir libsv305-build
> cd libsv305-build
> cmake ../indi-3rdparty/libsv305/
> make
> sudo make install

Then, build the driver again and give a try.

Intel and Raspberry have the same level of support. The same actions applies also to the Raspberry.

Thanks a lot !

Hi Collin, I have tried it, but it remains the same. I have also checked the folder /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/ and 1.6.6 is still there, no 1.6.8 version. Have I done something wrong?
Thank you,
hades

edit: I see these builded files in the /usr/local/lib/ (not in  /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/). So i have copied them to the correct folder ( /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/) and build once again. Unfortunately, there is no improvement.

Thanks Hades,

We will change the method, to check if this issue is firmware related or driver related, but I need some time to work on the "test plan".

Stay tuned ;-)

Best regards

Hello Hades,

I received yesterday form SVbony a new SDK, fixing the GetPixelSize (I hope so).
I also ordered a SV305M Pro for myself.

I will try to come back to you with new tests in the coming days.

Best regards,

Hi Hades,

Did you try AstroDMx with your camera (ideally on a clean linux install, without the INDI driver, to avoid any library conflict) ?
According to SVBony, AstroDMX officially supports the SV305M Pro.

Or did you try it on Windows, just to be sure your camera isn't faulty.

I come back to you ASAP.

Best regards,

Thx8411
