Advanced dither options was created by a Guest

Dear Devs,

I would like to ask You to add more features to dither. In my opinion 2 axis dither is much better, example -y +y +x -x randomly. And also support with PHD2.
I wrote a simple camera/PHD2/focus controll app to Windows, and my dither feature like above with PHD2 support..

Regards, Tamas
PS Sorry for my bad English, i rarely use it nowadays :S

Acknowledged. Did you use the spiral dithering movement in phd2, which server commands exactly?

Dear Eric,

I didn't recognize there is a Spiral option in phd, and sorry I forgot my code and the PHD protocol there are no option to direction and axis, so I checked my code and I just dithering 4 times between the frames.
I guess its better than spiral, last night I took 40 expos and its look like I didnt dithered the frames, but I've checked the PHD logs and the dithers was ok.

What is you method to configure dithering, as phd2 doesn't necessarily know the optical characteristics of your imager?

Nothing special I just call the 4 times the method": "dither", "params":.......
With specified params, and wait for settle between dither.
Yes phd2 doesnt need my optical characteristics, I just inform You about it.
