User Reviews

  • Thanks to Robert Brown for presenting such an amazing electronic focuser with so many versions/options and features. PROS: - Availability of documentation - Prompt support from the author, even after so many years - It is compatible with to so many different types of motors, driver boards, and peripherals, making it highly suitable to one's individual needs - Extremely rich in features CONS: - Nothing My Views: Documentation can be overwhelming or confusing for someone who is a novice in DIY stuff. It happened to me as well. I thought of making it about an year ago, but documentation discouraged me! But believe me, if you read it step by step taking your time, and may be reading the same topic 2-3 times, it will definitely remove all your confusion. You will enjoy making it. And at last, Mr. Robert is always ready to help :) - Best is to go for solderless version. Quick and easy to build.
  • the project is exceptional. the documentation covered every detail. I put together 3 controllers and each works great. I am quite satisfied and considering the cost of branded solutions, this project is a superior solution.
  • Outstanding work and impeccable support. I built one controller per piece of equipment that I configured individually. The project is much more efficient and less expensive than commercial focusers with the added bonus of the satisfaction of having carried it out yourself. I made my own PCB to optimize the connections and the adaptability to the case. Congratulations and thank you to Robert for sharing this very useful project for DIY astronomers. I take this opportunity to say that I also made the controller for the filter wheel and that I now plan to make the rotator. Thanks Robert. patrick
  • Un gran proyecto muy bien documentado.
  • I have never seen such a well documented project. Every step is explained, a lot of choices are there, too. It was easy to realize this project and is so much fun using it...
