Hi Knro,
thanks for the answer.
Where you found this values for 16bit camera (20,000 or 25,000)?
And than how I need to set aslo the tolerance field?
Thanks in advance
Kind regards
Paolo

Hi Knro,
is not clear for me which "exact ADU" I will need to use.
Can you explain to me?
Thanks

Hi Mohamed,
sure, I attached the screenshot.
The use of ADU% should help in order tou get the automated flat.
See also the following link:
https://indilib.org/support/tutorials/156-capture-automated-flats.html
From previous link the ADU percentage description:
ADU Percentage: Analog to Digital Units (ADU) are the dynamic range of pixels values in your CCD. For a 16bit CCD, the maximum possible ADU is 65535. The actual maximum ADU depends on your CCD. ADU count is proportional to the electrons excited by incident photons and CCD gain. Set the desired ADU % and Ekos shall adjust capture time until target ADU % is reached. When using this setting, it is recommended to set the exposure time to 1 second and Ekos will adjust it accordingly.
Thanks
Paolo

Hi All,
is not clear for me which value I need to seet for the ADU% in order to capture the autoamted flat.
Can you help me ?
I'm using ASI 2600MC Pro.
Thanks in advance

Hi Knro,
thanks for the answer.
Happy to know that there is a way to capture automated flat, but can you explain how I will need to set the desired ADU % ?
I'm using a ASI 2600 mc pro (16 bit).
Thanks.

Hi All,
I know that in order to make a correcte FLAT frame we need to pay attention to the histogram.
I'm using a cooled CMOS camera (no reflex)
In addition to use the same temperature and same gain, we need to play with time exposure in order to put the histogramat the center or little shifted to left....
If this is all correct, I'm not able to see the histogram in a fixed scale on viewer fits of kstars. I can zoom and zooming in or out the scale change so I'm confusing.....
There is no a way to have a fixed scale?
If not, how can I manage the histogram in order to see the correct xposure?
I hope to have been clear
Thanks in advance.

Hi Guys,
thanks again for your last posts.
Tonight I'm testing my ASI 2600 mc pro awith gain 100 at -10°C from a suburban sky.... I hope taht all will works fine.
@starhopper thanks for your considerations and compliments for your photo, I really like it. So beautyfull!
Kind regards

Hi guys,
in EKOS, under CCD tab (where we can take our photos) when I click on Live Video botton I see only a black frame...
I'm using ASI 2600mc pro.
There is some setting to condider in order to make works the Live Video (gain, exposure time....) ?
With my reflex using Live Video I'm able to see brghtest stars.
Thanks

Hi Lead_weight,
from my asi quick user guide i s written that using the Highest Dynamic Range setting (so with gain at zero) gives better results (as you also said) with longer exposures, but as well as with brighter (light polluted) skies.
So following this guide I'll need to use gain zero under light polluted skie... strange....
Thanks in advance!

HiAradoSKYindi,
if I set astrometry offline from ekos, the solving process works locally on my PC and not on RPI3.
There is a way to set it offiline on RPI3 with indiserver command?
Thanks!

Hi all,
I'm using indiserver on my RPI3.
On RPI3 I also installed astrometry.net, below the packages installed on my system:
astrometry-data-4204/now 0.45 all [installato, locale]
astrometry-data-4205/now 0.45 all [installato, locale]
astrometry-data-4206/now 0.45 all [installato, locale]
astrometry-data-4207/now 0.45 all [installato, locale]
astrometry.net/xenial,now 0.67+dfsg-1 armhf [installato]
libastrometry0/xenial,now 0.67+dfsg-1 armhf [installato, automatico]
python-astrometry/xenial,now 0.67+dfsg-1 armhf [installato, automatico]
Cannot set solver to remote. The Ekos equipment profile must include the astrometry Auxiliary drive
@suvowner thanks a lot for your explantion.
So I'll use always gan 100 for better results.
