Thank you both for your replies. I may have to rethink the brand of camera I buy. I was hoping that the Indi driver was fully functional, but it seems not. I'm a bit over having to fiddle and compromise to get things to work  : Seems that Nikon and Canon are less hassle to use.... Pity, because I really liked the Fujifilm cameras and was lusting after an XT4...

cheers

Hi,
I'm thinking about buying a new Fujifilm camera - model as yet undetermined. I see that Indi appears to have drivers for Fuji cameras. Can anyone confirm which models are supported or not supported, and that the driver has no significant issues?
TIA
Gary

Craig,
are you using a CPC mount or a cgx. I have a CPC wedge mounted and would like to use the aux driver, but found that the lack of a home starting position was a pain. Your mods seem to fix it....so wanted to confirm I could use it with my mount..

Hi,
I've been trying to compile the following driver in an astroberry system:
github.com/wotalota/indi-rolloffino

I don't know Linux so I've just been blindlyfollowing the instructions in the INSTALL file.

I get the following errors:

CMake Error at CMakeLists.txt:11 (find_package):
By not providing "FindINDI.cmake" in CMAKE_MODULE_PATH this project has
asked CMake to find a package configuration file provided by "INDI", but
  CMake did not find one.

Could not find a package configuration file provided by "INDI" with any of
  the following names:

    INDIConfig.cmake
    indi-config.cmake

Add the installation prefix of "INDI" to CMAKE_PREFIX_PATH or set
"INDI_DIR" to a directory containing one of the above files. If "INDI"
provides a separate development package or SDK, be sure it has been
  installed.

The log is attached.

Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

TIA
Gary

OK, so I deleted config.txt (after backing up) in the boot folder and it now shows correctly both on the monitor and via vnc. Any ideas about what in config.txt is causing the problem? I don't know much about Linux/Raspian.

Hi
have been trying Astroberry out via VNC (ie headless). All working fine, however today I attached an external monitor and keyboard directly to my Pi4 and could not get the desktop to come up - got the screen in he attached image. Even when this screen was on the monitor, I could still log in via vnc from my PC.

I reflashed the latest image - same result
I reflashed the latest image and did all the updates - same result
I then flashed Raspian, did its updates - this worked perfectly with my monitor, I then installed Astroberry in to Raspian, the monitor then showed the same pic.
At this point I gave up, has anyone any suggestions?

TIA
Gary

Hi,
I have just setup my Pi with Astroberry and have the Astroberry Relays in the process of being set up to control power to the items in my small observatory.

I would like to use Kstars Windows as a client to control everything remotely, however there is no option in Kstars to control the Astroberry relays. Is this possible/not possible? Is there any version of Kstars other than the Pi Astroberry that can control the relays (Linux?)

I know I can VNC in, but that sort of defeats the purpose of Indi's client server nature.

TIA
Gary

Hi
I downloaded and installed the Astroberry image v2.0.3.
Tried out the Astroberry relays using a 4 relay board I had - all worked fine.

I the did an update followed by an upgrade.

Astroberry relays now crashes whenever I start and connect Ekos.

Any ideas?

Thanks
Gary

Any idea yet when this may be incorporated in to the official Indi release? Would like to use it but have been unable to compile it. (not that familiar with linux etc)

Fabrizio wrote: Hi Gary,
I am working on the driver and I expect to have a decent version in weeks not months. Then I submit it to indi-lib mantainer (Jasem Mutlaq) for indi-lib merging. This adds some more weeks.
I suppose your scope working in equatorial mode. If debugging does not contradict me, the alignment subsystem does not distinguish between AltAz and Equatorial, if you have at least 2 sync points.
It may be worth to try version 0.7 (indi-1.8.6)(no equatorial mode, no tracking button enabled in mount tab, but tracking can be indirectly controlled from indi main tab, option "On Set").
You can install debian/ubuntu packages of indi-1.8.6 following instructions given here www.indilib.org/download.html .

sudo apt-add-repository ppa:mutlaqja/ppa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install indi-full gsc

Thank you Fabrizio,
I will wait until it goes into the main repository - I am moving house in 6 weeks or so and will have to build a new observatory ( I just finished one at my current home!). I plan to fully automate it with roof motor, AAG Cloudwatcher etc. I was going to do this at my currrent observatory but we bought a new house in a much darker sky. I am happy to wait for completion of the driver.....

Really appreciate your efforts, the driver will convert my equatorial wedge mounted CPC925 into an imaging machine that can run alone..

Hi,
is there any chance this driver will go in to the standard Kstars/Ekos distribution in the near future? As a linux illiterate I have tried compiling, but as I don't know what I'm doing, can't get things to work properly. This driver seems just what I need for my wedge mounted CPC925.
thanks
Gary
