This (and focuser temperature as well if present) is saved to the FITS file if you have correct focuser configured for snooping in your camera settings in INDI panel, like this:

FOCUSPOS= 3573 / Focus position in steps
FOCUSTEM= -1.790E+00 / Focuser temperature in degrees C
