Hi all.
Love this software. I've been using the astropi3 set up for a year now, but just through my home network via Ethernet and vnc viewer on my tablet. Also with kstars on my pc.
I decided to give the hotspot a go because I might try some dark sky imaging this year, but for theirs of me I can't remember my hotspot password. I can go into the pi's desktop through vnc but it wontw seem to let me edit it, unless I know said password.

any help would be much appreciated.
Jason

Just figured this one out.
It was just a matter of restoring defaults in the eqmod control panel.

Had to re-mount ekos on virtual machine because kstars seems to shut down when i connect it to qhhy5ii (sometimes).
Now for some reason I cant establish connection with my mount....and it was working perfectly.

Hello Jasem.
So I tried a few different settings increased the pulses, made the box smaller, etc. But no star movement. I resorted back to phd2 on Windows and seem to be getting similar results. Might be my st4 cable.. Does the mount actually have to be tracking for guiding to work? Or should that matter.
Thanks
Jason

Thanks once again Jasem for your patience.
I'll give that a go on my next clear night.
Slowly getting there!

Hello Jasem.
So for the guiding kinda working.. During calibration it doesn't begin guiding after several attempts. Is it my Qhy5ii via Qhy5ii, or Qhy5ii via eqmount? Seems when I try both options the star doesn't move, I get a possible mount error message.

Hi Jasem
Can I ask. In the calibration steps in the guiding module, when select:
1.Capture image
And the image appears in FITS Viewer. Should it be a live (looping) image?
Or is it only when I select the guide star and start calibration it becomes live?
Hope this makes sense.

Hi Jasem.
Tested it again last night. It starts ok in the Ekos guiding module but doesn't seem to loop. It's like it just takes a snapshot, or freezes. Ideally I would like to use the Ekos guiding module instead of phd.
Cheers

It seems to start up and connect fine in the guiding modular.
It just seems to freeze. Even shining a torch into it wasn't registering.
But when I stream in the indi settings, it seems to work on and off. Also seems to crash Ekos regularly. I know there's terrible problems with the qhy5 ii drivers. Getting it to work with phd when I originally got it was difficult enough.

Hi Jasem, once again!
Can't seem to get my qhy5 ii to work as a guider. It streams ok, but no joy in Ekos.
How can I use phd 2 with Web Manager?
Can you give me instructions as an idiot?
I have the qhy5 ii working with phd 2. But have no idea how to transfer that to the pi.
Thanks again
Jason

Hi Jasem.
Everything connecting brilliantly. Web Manager starting on pi boot.
But when I'm testing my guiding I'm getting this error.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Jason.
