Plate solving does not depend on the mount type, I would expect that it works. In a nutshell, you need the following:
- download the astrometry files (in the configuration of the Align module)
- configure your focal length (in your profile)
- select the appropriate camera in the align dialog
- set the search radius in "Scale and Position" of the align configuration. If you set it to zero, blind plate solving is executed.
