Thanks Jasem - I suspect it is finding a horizon limit or something like that and will run some tests/logs today. Will let you know what I find.
PS - I was delighted to find QHY PoleMaster support!

I noticed that others report a similar issue. I just migrated up to the latest EKOS/KSTARS build (StellarMateOS 1.5.1) and have tested on both a RPi3 and RPi4. The mount tracks and points fine but will drop out of track mode into an idle state in what seems to be random intervals. Sometimes it does this just s few minutes after acquiring a target and sometimes tens of minutes later but it does not stay in tracking mode for even an hour. This is a behaviour I have not seen before. In the past I used mostly the RPi3 and found it to be "rock-solid". Any wisdom out there on the issue?

Hi Jose

Go to the nightly builds section in downloads ( www.indilib.org/download/ubuntu.html ) You may want to email Jasem first to make sure the builds are appropriate to your system. I am using a Pi4.
Good luck!

Hi Jose

Jasem was extremely helpful here. A firmware change in new Pegaus Poweboxes creates the problem. He has modified the Indi libraries to correct this. I downloaded a new build and PPB is now working . It does not show all of the features of the PPB (individual currents/voltages etc) but seems to be otherwise working OK.
Good luck.

Greetings
Is there an Indi driver for the Pegasus Pocket Powerbox? PPB does appear in the supported devices when I set up an instrument profile but when I run the PPB it throws the following error: ( [WARNING] Received wrong number of detailed sensor data. Retrying... ).
I attempted to use the UPB driver but it crashes immediately (as I would expect).
The PPB is supplying power to connected devices but I am unable to monitor what it is doing or to determine if the environmental sensor and dew/frost control is working.

I am making the transition from Stellarmate/Raspi3 (which has been nothing short of amazing!) to Raspi4. So far guiding, focusing and imaging are working very well. However, tonight was the first time I attempted to use plate solving with the Raspi4 build. This has performed superbly with the Raspi 3 both in online and offline modes but NOT at all with the Raspi4. So - is this a known issue? Solver hangs - it does not seem to complete the first iteration. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

On an unrelated note I was blown away by how well the Raspi3 and hotspot mode worked last week. Under very chilly conditions (-15C) and operating from within a metal walled building 60 feet from the mount I was still able to use the Raspi3 in hotspot mode. This was an unexpected surprise!

Thanks to everyone who responded. I found the tight build and it installed fine. Only issues so far are "flaky" wireless connection and autoguiding. Likely both are "self-inflicted" problems so I will try again on the next clear night.

Thanks! That is good news. Where did you get your build for the Raspi4?

I will start with saying how much Stellarmate impresses me every time I use it! WE have 3 observatories for teaching purposes - one equipped with a Paramount MX, one with a custom build GEM - each carrying large telescopes and a smaller observatory with an HEQ5 and Stellarmate used for various small refractors (SV 102, SV70 etc). Under good conditions I routinely get rms guiding errors between 0.7" - 1.1". For 50 bucks and a Raspi3 this is outstanding. You can see some of the images taken with this setup at martin.kcvs.ca/astro/course/gallery.html

I am now attempting to use a new Raspi4 (4G) but am unable to get the most current build (StellarMateOS_1.4.4_rpi3.img.xz) to run. It burns fine onto an SD card (using Etcher) but when installed in the Raspi does not boot. I have tried several sd cards with the same result. The Raspi4 is running fine under Raspbian. Anyone have experience and success with Stellarmate on the Raspi4?
