Thanks Jasem, that explains why I couldn't find it ;-)

I'll keep working further on it, plenty left to do, at what point do you want to take a peek at it?

Hi,

I did manage to get a pretty good start on writing a driver for myFilterWheel. I have the basic functions working.
Currently I'm looking at the filter focus offsets. myFilterWheel firmware holds these. So I want to transfer the values from myFilterWheel to Ekos. I know there's a window for it on the CCD tab, but I can't find what property is used in INDI to store the values.
Can someone enlighten me please?

Hi,

I tried to adapt the indi_dummy_filterwheel example to communicate with myFilterWheel.
But as it turned out, it's just too much for me.

I thought I could do it, but due to a Traumatic Brain Injury, I'm not really up for the task anymore.
The lines just start to do a little dance on my screen, for my amusement and frustration ;-)

Would someone with the necessary skills be willing to write a driver (or maybe assist/guide me to do it) for it?

I can provide the protocol and whatever else is needed, Just let me know,

Paul

PS I got the development environment up and running, in good working order.

Paul Porters created a new topic ' mySQMPROESP INDI Driver' in the forum. 4 years ago

Hi,

Robert Brown developed a nice weather device, mySQMPROESP.

It would be great to get an INDI driver for it.

Anyone up for the task?
My knowledge is by far not suffiecient.

One thing more, you mentioned ARM architecture.. I don'tknow if it matters, but Kstars/Ekos is running on Kubuntu 18.04 on a regular PC.

I tried your suggestion, and reduced the speed from 4 to 3 (or did you mean something else?).

But unfortunately the exposure didn't finish, also tried all the speedsettings 0-4 and with a 1280x960 it just won't finish and download. At 640x480 all works correctly.
Same as earlier, when I disconnect the two other devices, it does finish & download the exposure.

I will try and let you know here.
Thanks,

Update: When I set the image size to 640x480 it all works as expected, all devices connected and images expose and download normally. Isn't that weird???

After the update to 3.3.8 I experienced following issue on a friends Ekos:

A preview (or sequence) exposure will not finish until I disconnect the two other devices (Mount & Focuser) from Ekos.

My first thought was a PC (USB bus problem), but I'm not sure that it is. Maybe someone can shed a light on it?

Here's the debug log:

File Attachment:

File Name: log_19-11-52.txt
File Size: 253 KB

I couldn't locate any INDI logs, so hopefully the debug log will tell us something.

Thanks in advance.

I have no trouble at all connecting my CEM40 to a PC when I follow these instructions: www.ioptron.com/v/ASCOM/iOptron_ASCOM_CEM40.pdf

I use the USB port on the mount, to make it work you need to install the FTDI driver on the PC: www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/VCP.htm

These instructions should also work for a CEM120 (if the USB port is used). I noticed the 'Install FTDI driver' part is not in the CEM120 instructions, so that may be the culprit.

Paul Porters created a new topic ' Sesto Senso parameters' in the forum. 5 years ago

Are the advanced settings for the Sesto Senso focus-motor somewhere available to be manipulated/set?

When used on my Crayford, it accelerates so fast, it's causing slippage.
Would be handy to be able to set these advanced parameters in my opinion, or as an alternative, the quick settings.
