Thank you for responding, it’s very appreciated.
I did have that tab set.
It appeared it wasn’t working because the KStars and Ekos windows are exactly the same size and overlapped. I was looking at a different KStars instance.
Is there a way to customize the default panel placement or assign each tab to a different desktop?

I am using an Rpi4 and a CGEM along with a GPS. While testing in the daytime I’m using CCD simulators.
I start the mount and make a 2 star alignment. I Start KStars and then Ekos. The GPS returns a good time and location and the time in KStars is correct. Indi verifies that the mount is aligned and time correct. When I switch back to KStars on the Rpi4 the mount position is not always there. When using the windows 10 app KStars always shows the CGEMs position.
At night after plate solving KStars on the Pi seems to return the mounts position correctly.
Is this correct behavior, or perhaps I’ve not set something I should have? My question is when using KStars on the Pi, if Ekos reports the mount is aligned should the mount position be updated in KStars?

KStars version 2.0.3
Windows version 3.3.6

Wouter,
Thank you! I was setting sky safari to my mount and not LX200.

Is it possible to connect sky safari directly to an Rpi4 with its WiFi and control the mount? I’m wondering if buying the WiFi adaptor for my CGEM is necessary?

The updates can be applied with sudo apt upgrade? I am a new user. I really appreciate the fast replies, thanks very much!

Joe created a new topic ' QHY5M SSAG/ZWO CCD' in the forum. 4 years ago

Everything was guiding great until I added a new ASI294MC camera. I’m not sure if I have old issue with the QHY5 cameras not being supported anymore.
Since adding the new imaging camera the info box at the bottom of the guide camera panel says; PA drifting forward, PA driving reverse and stops at GUIDE_RA scope cannot reach point after 21 iterations. Possible mount or backlash problems...
While imaging I’m seeing very slow performance, multiple cursors, crashing etc. I’ve tried both connecting directly with USB to my RPI4 and the hub on the back of the ASI294. I’ve tried multiple USB cables. I’ve tried using guider options SSAG and QHYCCD. I didn’t think last night to enable logs, can these be generated in the daytime or does it need to be a live session? Ekos stability improves with the SSAG removed.
The camera does capture an image fine, but I’m not able to change the bin from 1x1 (says option not supported).
I’m not sure what other information I need to gather to troubleshoot.
I’m also not opposed to buying a new guider if that’s the issue. Any suggestions for models would be appreciated.

I’m using the latest version of Astroberry and I’m new to Astrophotography in general.
I’m using a ZWO ASI294MC and would like to save the option under “control” to RAW16 bit. I’ll make the change and after reboot it’s right back to RAW8BIT, It’s also changing my set Gain back to default.
I’ve been looking through these menus for hours, is there a “save profile” option somewhere I’m not seeing?
The only thing I noticed was in KStars menu to force DSLR presets, that is unchecked.
Thanks in advance!
