I tested with StellarMate the use of ASTAP and its Live Stack feature. The good news is that it works quite well. The bad news is that the user interface under RPi is terribly sluggish. Example is live stack of 17 subs:

Could you use NTFS in stead of Ext4 just to make the SSD readable on your Windows machine?. Would be easier to get quickly to your subs after session.

That's works perfect! I now have my second DSLR running on it's own RPi unattended. It just starts when I power on my Astro Photo rig and my Main RPi with the rest of the devices just connects to the server and use the camera!

On my second RPi "Piggy" (with only simulator mount and Sony a5000) I did:
sudo apt purge kstars-bleeding indi-full
sudo apt autoremove
reboot
sudo apt install kstars-bleeding indi-full

I got exactly same result. Crashed INDI-Ekos-Kstars after some subs.

This Stellarmate is my original, gradually updated during a long time. It worked perfect before last update!

I have now installed AstroBerry and forced update to Kstars 3.5.4 and INDI GPhoto 3.0 (inst 10).
Guess what! It also fails after about 40 subs, but does not crash INDI-Ekos-Kstars. In stead the capture sequence aborts. It is not possible to restart the sequence. Keeps retrying (download?) endlessly.

Strange that nobody else see this new problem?

I have now installed an old StellarMate image and have verified that GPhoto CCD indi-sony-ccd version 2.9 works perfect on exact same HW configuration I used that did CRASH when using version 3.0

Please find the difference between the two versions and correct ASAP!

Is there a way to upgrade and protect my self from GPhoto CCD indi-sony-ccd version 3.0? Or better, can anyone tell me how to reinstall GPhoto CCD indi-sony-ccd version 2.9 in the newest version of Kstars 3.5.5?

I have NOT been able to recreate with an ASI120mc-s camera so it might be specific to DSLR (perhaps only Sony?) It crashes ALL; INDI - EKOS - Kstars! Last try I got 39 subs out of 60 at 180s before crash.

After some varying time in capture INDI crashes and takes Ekos with it. Did not happen before on Kstars 3.5.4 but always now on Kstars 3.5.5.
I use it via TeamViewer.
I have tested on two RPi4b and with Sony a7 and Sony a5000, same bad result. I have swapped cables and everything but it always happen sooner or later
I have also tested from Kstars 3.5.4 on Ubuntu laptop using INDI server on my RPi. Same result! INDI crash!
It seems to happen at the point where exposure is finished and download comences?
Needless to say this makes my StellarMate useless for Astro Photo.

Gustav Olav Lundby replied to the topic 'iOptron iPolar scope' in the forum. 3 months ago

Totally agree on that! Currently I can select the IPolar as sensor. The only thing missing is the correct FOV which can be filled in manually. (I often do that when using a barlow). I wonder if I select the guide scope (120mm) to get closer to the focal length of IGuide, Will not the astrometrics be able to find the actual FOV ?. For instance train it with a couple of solves (without slew or sync) I will try this next night.
