Mirko created a new topic ' Bias frames with Nikon z6 not working' in the forum. 3 years ago

Hi,

I try to create bias frames with a Nikon z6. But the bias frames have not the correct (shortest) exposure time, for example the filename is Bias_0.000250_secs_001.nef which shows the correct exposure time. But the exposure is only 1/15 instead of 1/8000. Same, if I choose 1 second. Examples below. I double checked this issue with a Nikon D750 - the exposure time is the shortest one for this model (1/4000). Does anybody knows a workaround for the z6? Or is it a bug?

Kstars 3.5.2 Stable
Linux (armv7l) release 5.10.17-v7l+

Thanks and best regards,
Mirko

Hi,

some months ago I discovered INDI and Ekos and it seems a nice solution to control and use my mount (PMC8-EXOS2GT) and camera (Nikon z6). Together with an Raspian Pi4 it seems an nice an portable setup.

Now I've bought a QHY Polemaster and saw, that I could use it with Kstars/Ekos. I've installed the Polmaster program and it seems to work (camera shows a picture, but till now I could unfortunately not tried it with polaris).

But the I also noticed, that it was not longer possible to connect the QHY Polmaster with Ekos. qhy_ccd_test shows:

qhy_ccd_test
QHY Test CCD using SingleFrameMode, Version: 1.00
QHYCCD|QHYCCD.CPP|InitQHYCCDResource|START
QHYCCD|QHYCCD.CPP|InitQHYCCDResourceInside|START

QHYCCD|QHYCCD.CPP|ScanQHYCCD|START
QHYCCD|QHYCCD.CPP|DeviceIsLIBUSBQHYCCD|vid = 1618 pid = 941
Open QHYCCD error
QHYCCD|QHYCCD.CPP|InitQHYCCDResource|END
SDK resources initialized.
No QHYCCD camera found, please check USB or power.

But the camera is connected (Polmaster program works)

When I run kstars with "sudo kastars" the QHY Polmaster was found, same with

sudo qhy_ccd_test

Maybe someone has an idea how to fix this?

Thanks and best regards,
Mirko
