Hi Magnus! Did you notice when the errors started or did you always get them when connecting? Mine started with the 3.6.9 stable update.

Hi Jasem!
It doesn't, that was what freaked me out. Selecting ZWO EFW by editing a profile ends up in a failure to connect. Deleting the profile and creating a new one with ZWO EFW does the same.
I have solved the "issue" with filter wheel not showing up under the camera and focuser tab, though. Once I'd established contact with the wheel using the custom driver, I thought it would automatically work also under those tabs, but I needed to select it there manually. My bad. Still getting error updating names of filters though.

I haven't been using the observatory since August due to a major repair, so when I opened it up again now and updated to KStars 3.6.9 I had the same issue several others have been reporting where the ZWO filter wheel was missing. After some searching I found a solution that involved adding a custom driver, selecting the ZWO EFW driver entry but changing the Label option to "ASI EFW". Selecting this custom driver in the profile solved the connection issue, but my problem now is that even though the filter wheel is connected in the INDI control panel, it doesn't show up under "Filter" in Ekos' camera tab nor in the focuser tab. Also I get error messages from the INDI control panel saying "Error updating name of filters", but the filter names and order show up correctly in the control panel. I'm still pretty new to Ubuntu and I'm feeling a bit lost. Could it be there's a configuration file somewhere that is causing this?

Hi again! I too can confirm that your solution with a separate optical train for the blind dither fixes the issue. Thanks a lot for the workaround, Hy!!

Sounds very good, Willem Jan! Judging from the weather forecast I'll be going to the observatory several nights next week. Will test it then.

Thanks!

Great! I'll try this at first opportunity, thanks! I assume this will also fix the problem with forced calibration of a non-existing guide camera/scope...

I'm experiencing the same issues as WJ. Unguided dithering was working like a charm last season but when I came back after several months and did an update jumping over several versions, unguided dithering would fail and terminate imaging sequences. Interestingly, after a meridian flip the other night Ekos decided I needed to calibrate my guiding although I, like WJ, have only selected Non/guided dither pulse under Dither settings. My hunch was that this behaviour had something to do with the introduction of optical trains as this was the most significant change between to the update. I'm also using a 10Micron mount like WJ, - a GM2000 HPS with absolute encoders.

Cool!! Thanks! Hope these requests give them the push to finish the driver or provide what is needed for others to do it. Seems like it has been in the works for a few years.

Ok, thanks. To be honest: I'm extremely new to Linux and INDI and have zero knowledge of programming, just took the leap after imaging for 14 years with OSX, so forgive my total lack of understanding. I'm learning though :). I've emailed Artesky directly and asked if they could provide the command set. Should I rather be asking for the libartesky 1.1 source code?

Hi Ferrante, thanks for the reply!
I can ask. Their code is released on github and a request for the source code in order to write an INDI driver was put there in 2020 and looks to be unanswered. I'll put in a request too.

Hi! First post to the forum so please correct me if this is not the forum for driver wishes. I was hoping there was an INDI driver for Artesky's Flat Box USB, but after searching for a while it seems it doesn't exist. Any chance it will be available in the future?

Clear skies!
